Father and Daughter Team to Create Historic Moment in Pro Tour Competition

In the world of professional golf, there have been many famous family members who have teed it up in the same tournaments. One such historic event is set to take place on the PGA of Australasia circuit, where father-daughter duo Peter Wilson and Chloe Wilson are making history by competing alongside each other in the Webex Players Series Victoria tournament. This tournament allows both men and women to compete for the same trophy and prize money on the same course, making it a unique event in the world of golf.

Peter Wilson, an experienced player with numerous wins on different tours, famously shot back-to-back 59s in March 2023 at Lang Lang Golf Club. He even had the opportunity to play alongside Major winner Adam Scott at the 2015 Australian Masters. Despite his experience, Wilson faces a tough competition from his daughter Chloe, who only took up the game in 2020 and made her professional debut just a week prior to this event in Victoria. Despite her lack of experience, Chloe is eager to compete against her father and try to beat him on the course.

The Wilson duo is not the first family pairing to compete in professional golf tournaments. In the past, we have seen father-son pairings like Jay and Bill Haas at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, as well as iconic pairs like Old Tom Morris & Young Tom Morris, Kevin & Craig Stadler, and Julius & Guy Boros winning on the PGA Tour. However, the father-daughter dynamic adds a unique twist to this historic event, making it an exciting prospect for both players and fans alike.

Chloe Wilson, who previously caddied for her father at the 2018 ISPS Handa New Zealand Golf Open, is looking forward to the challenge of competing against her father in a professional tournament. She admits to feeling nervous on the first tee but is confident that once the game begins, she will be able to relax and focus on playing her best golf. The father-daughter pairing is a rare occurrence in the world of professional golf, and the Wilsons are set to make history with their participation in the Webex Players Series Victoria tournament.

The tournament in Victoria is part of the Webex Players Series, which brings together a field of both male and female professionals to compete for top honors. This unique series allows for men and women to compete on an equal playing field, making it an inclusive and diverse event in the world of golf. With the Wilsons making headlines as the first father-daughter pairing in a professional event, the tournament is sure to attract a lot of attention and excitement from fans and players alike.
