Eugenio Chacarra made headlines in 2022 when he became the first low-ranked amateur to join the LIV Golf League. He quickly showed his promise by winning the LIV Golf Bangkok Invitational in his first year. However, after a poor season in 2024, he was dropped by Fireballs GC. In November, Chacarra announced that he was looking for a new LIV Golf team, but has since had a change of heart and expressed his frustration with his former employers in an interview with Flushing It.

Despite his disappointment with the lack of Official World Golf Ranking points and Majors promised by LIV Golf, Chacarra remains grateful for the opportunities he has been given. He has accumulated around $16 million in prize money during his time on the LIV Golf League but is now focused on achieving his lifelong dream of gaining a PGA Tour card. Chacarra believes that playing on the PGA Tour and qualifying for Majors like the Masters and the Ryder Cup will truly change his life, rather than just focusing on monetary rewards.

While Chacarra acknowledges the financial benefits of playing on the LIV Golf League, he is more interested in the competitive opportunities and career milestones that come with playing on the PGA Tour. He sees the PGA Tour as a pathway to achieving greater success in the sport and is willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to make that dream a reality. Despite facing a year-long suspension from the PGA Tour, Chacarra remains determined to pursue his goal.

In his debut season on the LIV Golf League, Chacarra proved his talent by winning in just his fifth professional tournament. He also found success on the Asian Tour by winning the St Andrews Bay Championship in 2023. While he is grateful for the opportunities provided by LIV Golf, Chacarra is now focused on his future and the potential for a move to the PGA Tour. He plans to continue competing in Asian Tour events in the meantime as he works towards his goal of becoming a PGA Tour player.

Chacarra’s decision to pursue a career on the PGA Tour reflects his ambition and determination to succeed at the highest level of professional golf. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that lie ahead, Chacarra remains optimistic about his future in the sport and is motivated to continue improving and honing his skills. With his eyes set on achieving his dream of playing on the PGA Tour, Chacarra is ready to face whatever obstacles come his way and is committed to working towards his ultimate goal.
