Titleist Vokey wedges have long been considered the best wedges on the market, but the release of the Callaway Opus wedges may change that. The Opus wedges have a classic bladed design with a premium look available in chrome and black finishes. These wedges have been designed based on tour-player feedback and offer a more confident shape for better golfers. The Opus Platinum wedges offer a more piercing ball flight at a slightly higher price point compared to the standard Opus offering.

Callaway has introduced Spin Gen Face Technology to the Opus wedges to enhance spin and control. The extra grooves on the face compared to previous designs provide more friction and bite on shorter chip and pitch shots. The Opus wedges performed well in the rough, producing outstanding levels of spin and giving the golfer confidence to play aggressively around the greens. With four grind options available, golfers can find a loft and bounce combination that suits their game.

The Callaway Opus wedges come with a Dynamic Gold MID shaft and Tour Velvet 360 grip. The S grind is recommended for its versatility in any situation, while the W grind offers performance similar to forgiving wedges, the C grind provides maximum versatility, and the new T grind is inspired by tour players for precise shot making. The combination of aesthetics and performance make the Opus a home run from Callaway.

Overall, the Callaway Opus wedges offer a premium design with tour-player feedback that provides excellent spin and control on the course. The variety of grind options allows golfers to find a wedge that suits their game, and the confidence-inspiring performance in the rough sets the Opus apart from other wedges on the market. With a release date of September 6th, 2024, the Callaway Opus wedges may soon find a place in the bags of golfers looking for a high-performing wedge option.
