Tournaments such as The American Express and the LPGA major championship have showcased the desert as a premier golf destination, attracting top professionals and celebrity players from around the world. Events like The Skins Game and the Bob Hope Desert Classic have added to the rich history of tournament golf in the area, bringing even more attention to the desert golf scene.

Despite facing challenges in recent years, including course closures and water usage concerns, golf in the desert has seen a resurgence, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The increased interest in outdoor activities and multigenerational golfing has reinvigorated the sport, making it accessible to a wider audience and ensuring its continued popularity in the Coachella Valley.

With a strong brand and a rich history, golf remains a pillar of the Coachella Valley’s identity, attracting visitors, residents, and tournament organizers alike. As new developments and initiatives continue to evolve, golf in the desert looks set to remain a vibrant and integral part of the area’s lifestyle for years to come.
