Bushnell Golf has introduced a new handheld GPS device for golfers known as the Phantom 3 Slope. This device offers slope-compensated distances at the touch of a button, making it easy for golfers to accurately gauge distances on the course. Along with slope compensation, the Phantom 3 Slope also features auto-prompt score entry, auto course, and hole recognition, a round timer, and an odometer, providing golfers with all the necessary features for a great golfing experience. The device is designed for both cart riders and walkers, with an integrated BITE magnetic cart mount and belt clip accessory for added convenience.

Preloaded with over 38,000 courses, the Phantom 3 Slope provides golfers with front, center, and back distances for each hole. Additionally, the device offers GreenView with movable pin placement, giving golfers even more accuracy when making their shots. With a sleek touchscreen display and intuitive user interface, the Phantom 3 Slope is packed with Bushnell Golf’s latest innovations, making it a valuable addition to their GPS product lineup. The device also boasts a long battery life of over 14 hours, ensuring that golfers can rely on it throughout their round.

The Phantom 3 Slope comes in four different colors and will be available at Bushnell Golf retailers starting in June. With its patented slope-compensated distances, touchscreen interface, and automatic features like course recognition and score entry, the Phantom 3 Slope is designed to make the game of golf more enjoyable and convenient for players of all levels. By providing accurate distances and other helpful features, Bushnell Golf continues to deliver on its mission of creating easy-to-use distance measuring devices for golfers.

Meanwhile, Broomsedge Golf Club in Rembert, SC is making strides in its construction as it begins sodding its fairways and tees. Led by co-architects Kyle Franz and Mike Koprowski, the design team has selected Tifway 419 Bermuda grass for the fairways and tees, with TifEagle Bermuda grass for the greens. The course will not have maintained rough, allowing the fairways to blend into native areas with broomsedge grass and other flora. Sodding and sprigging of all 18 holes is expected to be completed by August, with preview play scheduled for October.

Located in the Sandhills region of South Carolina, Broomsedge Golf Club is set to become a standout destination for golfers seeking a classic golf course design reminiscent of the Golden Age of golf architecture. With a focus on strategy and shot values, the course aims to challenge elite players while remaining enjoyable for all skill levels. Franz and Koprowski have leveraged the natural terrain of the site to create a course that is both challenging and fun, with a design that harkens back to the origins of course design over a century ago.
