Cleveland Golf is making a comeback with the reintroduction of their legendary HiBore name, this time with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The company has used AI to fine-tune the shaping of the new Launcher HiBore XL drivers, claiming it to be their most forgiving club ever. By removing the constraints of a traditional driver shape, Cleveland was able to unlock levels of forgiveness and distance previously unattainable.

One of the standout features of the new HiBore drivers is their triangular chassis, a departure from the typical round or pear-shaped drivers on the market. This unique shape was created using AI simulations to narrow the head, allowing for a larger face and expanded sweet spot. The triangular design also optimizes the driver’s sound profile without the need for internal ribbing, providing an improved auditory experience for players.

Cleveland has introduced ActivWing technology on the heel side of the crown, small airfoil-like shapes that enhance aerodynamics and consistency during the downswing. This feature is aimed at stabilizing the club through impact, providing added stability and control for players. Additionally, the new HiBore drivers come with a counterbalanced 8-gram weight at the end of the shaft to help players maintain control without extra effort.

For players looking for an ultralight option, the HiBore XL Lite is available in the lineup. This lighter version is designed for players who struggle with a slice or need extra distance, with weight concentrated in the heel to produce a draw bias while maintaining the benefits of the standard version. Both drivers in the lineup also feature a 1.5-degree loft sleeve and a 12-gram adjustable weight in the rear of the club head for customizable performance.

Overall, Cleveland Golf’s reimagined Launcher HiBore XL drivers combine AI technology with innovative design features to create a forgiving and high-performing driver option for players. The use of AI simulations allowed the company to push the boundaries of traditional driver shapes, resulting in a unique triangular chassis that optimizes forgiveness and distance. With features like ActivWing technology and counterbalanced weights, these drivers offer stability and control through the swing, while adjustable components allow players to customize their performance preferences.
