Mike Smith, a native of Houston, TX, was raised in New Orleans, LA, and currently resides in Orlando, FL with his family. He is a First Tee Level 1 Certified instructor, passionate about sharing his love for the game of golf with the youth in the Orlando area who participate in The First Tee of Central Florida program.

Growing up in New Orleans, Mike developed a deep love for the game of golf. He honed his skills on local courses and quickly realized his passion for the sport. After moving to Orlando, he became involved with The First Tee of Central Florida program, where he knew he could make a difference in the lives of young players by sharing his knowledge and expertise.

As a First Tee Level 1 Certified instructor, Mike is equipped with the skills and training necessary to effectively teach the game of golf to youth participants. He understands the importance of not only teaching golf skills, but also instilling values such as honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship in his students. Through his work with The First Tee of Central Florida, Mike is able to positively impact the lives of young players both on and off the course.

Mike’s dedication to his students and passion for golf shine through in his teaching style. He provides a supportive and encouraging environment for youth participants to learn and grow, both as golfers and as individuals. His goal is to help each student reach their full potential, both on the course and in life.

In addition to his work with The First Tee of Central Florida, Mike also enjoys playing golf in his free time. He continues to challenge himself on the course and strives to improve his own skills as a player. His love for the game is evident in everything he does, from teaching to playing, and he is committed to sharing that love with the next generation of golfers.

Through his involvement with The First Tee of Central Florida, Mike hopes to inspire a new generation of golfers and instill in them a love for the game that will last a lifetime. He believes that golf has the power to teach valuable life lessons and is dedicated to passing on those lessons to the youth in his community. His work with The First Tee is not just a job for Mike – it is a passion and a calling.
