TaylorMade Golf has launched a new golf ball plant in Korea, its third vertical integration of its golf ball supply chain. The expanded facility at TaylorMade Golf Ball Korea (TMBK) is focused on increasing production capacity to meet the global demand for TaylorMade’s innovative golf ball technologies. Located in Cheongju, South Korea, the plant will produce TaylorMade’s renowned five-layer TP5/TP5X golf balls, cast urethane Tour Response balls, and ionomer cover products. The addition of the TaylorMade Ball Plant Korea enables the company to better service its global markets.

The Pines Course at The International, New England’s preeminent 36-hole private club, is preparing to welcome limited member play this fall. Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the reimagined Pines course takes advantage of the land’s topography and features fescue grass on tees, fairways, and rough. The course is designed to offer a natural and strategic playing experience for golfers of all skill levels. Sodding and grow-in of the fescue playing surfaces are ongoing, with final project tasks underway before the course opens.

Originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish with help from Francis Ouimet, The Pines course opened in 1955 and measured 8,040 yards from the back tees. Famed architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. later lengthened the course to 8,325 yards but golfers began to prefer strategic and enjoyable courses over extreme difficulty. The reimagined Pines course will offer a welcoming and engaging golf experience, aligning with the club’s reverence for the game’s traditions. The International is building a membership to support this new era at the club.
