Los Angeles Takes on Jupiter: TGL Week 2 Preview

The second week of the TGL match features Los Angeles Golf Club facing off against Jupiter Links GC. Taking place on Tuesday 14th January, the match will be held at the custom-built SoFi Center in Florida, with coverage on primetime TV. Players will compete over 15 holes using a simulator and virtual greens. The format includes an alternate shot format for the first nine holes and individual matches for the remaining six, with teams cycling through their lineup of four players.

The TGL match is the second of 15 regular-season contests, with each team playing the others once in a round-robin system. The top four teams will progress to the playoffs before a winner is crowned on 25th March. After The Bay’s victory over New York in the first match, all eyes are on Tiger Woods’ debut with Jupiter Links GC. Woods, alongside Kevin Kisner and Max Homa, will take on the Los Angeles team featuring players like Justin Rose and Collin Morikawa.

Despite Los Angeles being heavily favored in the betting odds, thanks to Woods’ involvement, the Jupiter Links lineup boasts the most PGA Tour wins with an average age of 41. In contrast, the Los Angeles trio has an average age of 32.6 and 18 PGA Tour wins. The match promises to be intriguing, with a mix of experienced and up-and-coming players on both teams. Morikawa and Theegala, in particular, are two of last season’s standout performers and could prove to be a challenge for the Los Angeles team.

The Los Angeles vs. Jupiter Links lineup includes players like Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Tiger Woods, Kevin Kisner, Sahith Theegala, and Max Homa. The match will begin at ‘The Plank’, a 377-yard par-4 hole, with Rose and Woods starting things off for their teams. The singles section will see matchups between Rose and Woods, as well as Theegala and Homa before wrapping up on the 15th hole.

The TGL match between Los Angeles and Jupiter Links is scheduled to start at around 7pm ET on Tuesday 14th January, with matches expected to last around two hours each. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN+ in the US and on Sky Sports Golf in the UK. While betting odds for the match are yet to be confirmed, Los Angeles is expected to be the heavy favorite against Jupiter Links, with the west coast side also favored to win the overall 2025 title.
