The Miura TC-202 iron is the latest release from Miura Golf, carrying on the legacy of the storied Japanese forging house. With a reputation for producing some of the best irons in golf, Miura has captured the attention of golf enthusiasts worldwide. The new TC-202 irons are an evolution of the successful TC-201 model, blending old-school craftsmanship with pinpoint technology to create a refined iron that appeals to a wide range of players. With its blend of muscle back-like performance and cavity back forgiveness, the TC-202 aims to provide golfers with the best of both worlds.

Miura operates under the principle of continuous improvement, never producing a new club until they can improve an existing one. With the TC-202, Shinei Miura, son of founder Katsuhiro Miura, has taken the best attributes of past Miura irons and combined them into one refined package. The result is the TC-202, Miura’s best tour cavity model to date, offering golfers a different perspective on what a good iron can be.

One of the key features of the TC-202 is the T-Weight Bar, located in the back cavity of the club. This innovative design combines heel-toe weighting for forgiveness with center mass distribution found in other popular Miura irons. The T-Weight Bar helps optimize trajectory control, sound, and feel, while also lowering the center of gravity for increased forgiveness on off-center hits.

The TC-202 also features a progressive depth cavity, with the cavity getting shallower as you move from long irons to short irons. This design provides the highest amount of forgiveness in the long irons, while focusing more on blade-like trajectory control and feel in the mid and short irons. The shaping of the TC-202 is borrowed from Miura’s KM-700 blade, optimizing the distribution of head weight for increased stability.

Another key feature of the TC-202 is the Y-Grind sole, named after Yoshitaka Miura. This sole design enhances turf interaction, allowing the club to enter and exit the turf smoothly and efficiently. The TC-202 irons are available for pre-order on Fairway Jockey and MiuraGolf.com, with a retail release date of April 15. Priced at $350 per club, the TC-202 offers golfers the opportunity to upgrade their irons with the latest technology and craftsmanship from Miura.

Overall, the Miura TC-202 iron represents a new chapter in the legacy of Miura Golf, combining the best attributes of past models with innovative new technology. With its blend of forgiveness, trajectory control, and feel, the TC-202 appeals to golfers of all skill levels looking for a premium iron that delivers performance and precision on the course. Whether you’re a casual player or a seasoned pro, the TC-202 offers a unique perspective on what a good iron can be.
