Golf is a sport that has grown increasingly global, with players and events happening all around the world. In 2024, the staff members of a golf publication were dispatched to various destinations such as Paris, Melbourne, South Korea, and other golfy locales closer to home. The writers, video producers, and social media experts captured their experiences through their phone cameras. They shared some of their favorite snapshots from the year, showcasing the beauty and excitement of the golf world.

In one snapshot captured by Sean Zak, Janet Lin is seen sobbing at the Paris Olympics after finding out she had won the bronze medal for China. The emotional moment captured the joy and excitement of the competition. Nick Piastowski shared a snapshot from the PGA Championship where he slipped and fell while trying to keep up with a group of players. Despite the mishap, he bounced back and continued covering the tournament, leaving with a dirt streak along his body.

Alan Bastable shared a heartwarming snapshot of his 12-year-old son, Declan, tending to a bunker at Upper Montclair CC during the LPGA’s Founders Cup pro-am. The picture captured the pressure and excitement of the event, with Declan trying to execute proper raking technique under the watchful eyes of a pro caddie. Emma Devine captured a moment of Jason Day holing out in front of a Canadian crowd during the Presidents Cup, showcasing the energy and excitement of the event.

Adam Christensen shared a snapshot of the mountainous landscape of southern Montana, where he played a memorable round at Rising Sun Golf Course. Josh Sens met Taehyun Kong, a South Korean golfer and YouTube entertainer, at the headquarters of simulator giant GolfZon in Seoul. Jack Hirsh shared his favorite spot on earth at the 7th tee in Dornoch, in the Scottish Highlands, capturing the beauty and serenity of the location.
