The PGA Tour is gearing up for the 2024 RBC Canadian Open at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. This prestigious event has been hosted at Hamilton Golf and Country Club six times before, with past winners including Rory McIlroy, Scott Piercy, and Jim Furyk. The course, which measures 7,084 yards and is a par-70 layout, has undergone an $8.5-million restoration guided by Martin Ebert.

The tournament will feature 156 golfers, including notable players like Rory McIlroy, Sam Burns, and Shane Lowry. To prepare for the event, it’s important to consider key stats for the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. These include metrics such as Strokes Gained: Approach, Good Drive %, and Bogey Avoidance %. Players like Corey Conners, Alex Noren, and Tommy Fleetwood have excelled in these areas over their last 24 rounds.

In order to create a custom model for predicting the outcome of the RBC Canadian Open, the author uses the Rabbit Hole by Betsperts Golf data engine. By combining key statistical categories like SG: Approach, Good Drive %, Strokes Gained: Canada, Bogey Avoidance %, and SG: Putting, the author has compiled model rankings to help make informed picks for the tournament.

Based on the model rankings, top contenders include Aaron Rai, Rory McIlroy, and Sahith Theegala. Players like Tommy Fleetwood, Alex Noren, and Sam Burns are also highlighted as strong picks for the event. Fleetwood, in particular, has come close to winning previous editions of the RBC Canadian Open and could be a strong contender this year.

Other potential contenders for the 2024 RBC Canadian Open include Robert MacIntyre, who showed promise at the PGA Championship, and has a strong Strokes Gained: Putting record. With an exciting mix of seasoned pros and up-and-coming talent, the field is set for an intriguing competition at Hamilton Golf and Country Club. The tournament promises to showcase some of the best golfers in the world vying for the prestigious title of RBC Canadian Open champion.
