Robert Trent Jones Jr. recently completed a renovation of the Osprey Meadows course at Tamarack Resort in Idaho, bringing a new level of playability to the layout that he originally designed and opened in 2006. The course, located about 90 miles from Boise, features stunning views of the mountains, meadows, and lake. After closing in 2015 due to economic challenges, the course was purchased by Tamarack Resort in 2021 and underwent extensive renovations.

The grand opening of Osprey Meadows is a highly anticipated event at Tamarack Resort, with President Scott Turlington expressing excitement for players to experience the updated course. With a total of 19 holes, including a bonus par 3 named Gambler’s Hole, Osprey Meadows offers a challenging and scenic golfing experience. Jones Jr. and his firm, Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects, focused on reducing forced carries and widening fairways during the renovation process.

The renovations have increased the playability and enjoyment of Osprey Meadows, with the course now capable of stretching to 7,447 yards. Future refinements are planned to further enhance the golfing experience at Tamarack Resort. Jones Jr. expressed gratitude for the opportunity to reinvigorate the award-winning course and praised Tamarack Resort’s commitment to preserving and improving the unique golfing experience.

The renovations at Osprey Meadows represent a significant investment in the long-term value of the course, showcasing the vision and dedication of Tamarack Resort’s ownership. The updated course is designed to appeal to a wide range of golfers, from beginners to experienced players, with its improved layout and stunning natural surroundings. Players can look forward to a memorable and challenging round of golf at Osprey Meadows.

In addition to the course improvements, Tamarack Resort offers a range of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy, making it an ideal destination for golf enthusiasts and outdoor enthusiasts alike. From skiing in the winter to hiking and biking in the summer, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the natural beauty of Idaho’s mountains and lakes.
