Review of G/FORE G/18 Golf Shoes

G/FORE has had a busy year with multiple shoe releases, including the Gallivan2r, Gallivan2r G/Lock Saddle, and Gallivanter G/LOCK. However, their latest release, the G/18, is their most bold and stylish yet. The G/18 features a fashion-forward silhouette with unique details and textures, reminiscent of high fashion sneakers from top brands like Balenciaga and Moncler. The shoe comes in two colorways currently, with more expected to be released in the future.

One of the key features of the G/18 is the new toe wrap technology, where the outsole extends over the front of the shoe for added grip during the swing. This technology is similar to that used in the Adidas Codechaos 22 shoe and helps protect the toe area from wearing down, increasing the shoe’s durability. The outsole construction on the G/18 is new and offers enhanced performance and grip, especially in wet weather conditions due to its waterproof upper.

While the G/18 excels in performance on the golf course, it may not be as versatile for off-course wear compared to other G/FORE models like the MG4+ or MG4x2. The shoe’s prominent outsole design and focus on performance make it more suitable for on-course use rather than casual wear. However, the G/18 does offer excellent support and comfort, with features like an external heel counter and nubbed massaging insole that provide cushioning and stability throughout the swing.

Overall, the G/18 is a bold and practical choice for golfers looking for a stylish and comfortable shoe that doesn’t compromise on performance. The shoe offers a new look and feel compared to previous G/FORE models, making it a unique addition to the brand’s lineup. With its innovative design and focus on grip and durability, the G/18 is a solid option for golfers who want to stand out on the course while maintaining comfort and support.

In conclusion, the G/18 from G/FORE is a standout shoe in the brand’s collection, featuring a fashion-forward design with innovative technology for added grip and durability. While it may not be as versatile for off-course wear, the G/18 excels in performance on the golf course, providing golfers with the support and comfort they need during their rounds. With its bold style and practical features, the G/18 is a great choice for those looking for a unique and high-performing golf shoe.
