Review of the Benross Delta XT Hybrid

Benross may not be the biggest name in golf equipment, but it is well known for producing clubs that offer great value for money. The Delta XT hybrid, in particular, caught the attention of many golfers for its competitive pricing and modern design. Despite not being a top-tier brand, the Delta XT hybrid looks superb both in hand and down behind the ball at address, instilling confidence in players when they’re on the course.

The Delta XT hybrid features a larger footprint and a fairly deep head shape, typical of modern hybrids. This design element contributes to the overall confidence-inspiring look of the club. However, some players may find the sound of the club to be too loud, which can be off-putting for those who prefer a more muted sound through impact. The harsh feel at impact may also be a deterrent for some players, as it may be challenging to gauge the quality of their shots.

In terms of performance, the Benross Delta XT hybrid produces a high, right-to-left ball flight with plenty of stopping power. The bonded hosel limits adjustability for loft and face angle, but players can adjust the ball flight by changing the ball position. The club comes in three loft options – 20°, 24°, and 28° – catering to different player preferences and skill levels.

The forgiveness of the Delta XT hybrid is aided by the rear weight port, which helps stretch the center of gravity further back and promotes a high launch. This feature makes the club more forgiving and user-friendly for a wider range of golfers. Despite its affordable price tag of £129, the Delta XT hybrid comes with a Fujikura stock shaft and a Lamkin crossline grip, providing excellent value for money. While it may not have the same firepower as hybrids from top-tier brands, it still performs admirably and is a compelling option for those looking for a new and affordable hybrid club.

Overall, the Benross Delta XT hybrid offers a combination of competitive pricing, modern design, and solid performance on the course. While the loud sound and harsh feel may be drawbacks for some players, the club’s forgiveness and playability make it a strong contender in the hybrid market. For golfers seeking a cost-effective and reliable hybrid option, the Delta XT hybrid is worth considering. Although it may not have the same prestige as other top brands, it holds its own in terms of performance and value for money.
