Review of the Ecco Street 720 Golf Shoe

Ecco’s Street 720 golf shoes are taking the golf shoe industry by storm with their versatile design and comfortable wear. As a golf shoe reviewer, I always appreciate the opportunity to test out new shoes and see how they perform both on and off the course. With the Street 720, I decided to focus more on the off-course experience, taking them out for dinner, drinks, and karaoke before even hitting the links. The modern and stylish design of the shoes blended in perfectly with the streetwear of Birmingham, with no one suspecting they were actually golf shoes. This ability to seamlessly transition from the course to the street is a huge plus for golfers who want a versatile shoe that doesn’t scream “golf”.

The design of the Street 720 has drawn comparisons to popular streetwear shoes like the Nike Air Force 1 and Crocs. While some may find the design unconventional, others, like myself, appreciate the clean and modern look of the shoe. The perforated leather material, Gore-Tex construction, and cushioned insole make these shoes incredibly comfortable for all-day wear. The waterproofing is a game-changer for those rainy days, ensuring that your feet stay dry and comfortable no matter the weather conditions. The outsole performs well on the course, providing stability and traction in both wet and dry conditions while still feeling comfortable on harder surfaces off the course.

While the Street 720 may not be a standout performer on the golf course, it offers solid performance and reliability for the casual golfer. Ecco’s focus with this shoe was on versatility and comfort, rather than creating a high-performance spikeless shoe. This makes the Street 720 a great option for golfers who want a shoe that can easily transition from the course to the street without sacrificing style or comfort. The only downside I found with these shoes is that they can be a bit difficult to clean, with the outsole staining easily.

In comparison to other golf shoes that mimic popular streetwear silhouettes, the Ecco Street 720 stands out as the best off-course shoe I’ve tested. The comfort, style, and versatility of these shoes make them a compelling option for golfers looking for something different both on and off the course. I found myself wearing the Street 720 constantly, enjoying every minute of their comfortable wear and modern design. Overall, the Ecco Street 720 offers a unique combination of style, comfort, and performance that sets it apart from traditional golf shoes, making it a must-have for golfers who want a shoe that can keep up with their active lifestyle.
