Review of the Evnroll Zero Z5s Putter

Zero torque putters have been a hot topic in the world of golf equipment over the past year, sparking interest among players and leading many established putter makers to develop their own versions. One of the latest brands to join the trend is Evnroll, with their Zero Z5s putter. To evaluate how it compares to other zero-torque putters on the market, I took the Zero Z5s out on the golf course to test its performance.

Unlike many other zero-torque putters, the Evnroll Zero Z5s features a patented reverse offset hosel, creating a unique look at address. The shaft angle runs directly through the center of gravity rather than through the head, which is intended to reduce twisting and face rotation during the putting stroke. This design aims to keep the putter face square to the path of the stroke, leading to more putts starting on the intended line.

The Zero Z5s is a full-size mallet putter with a back alignment bar, reminiscent of the Odyssey Jailbird putter. Made from 303 stainless steel, the putter boasts Evnroll’s SweetFace technology, which helps maintain consistent ball speeds even on off-center strikes. While the technology in this putter comes with a premium price tag of $449, it is essential to try out the putter before making a purchase to ensure it aligns with your putting style and preferences.

During testing on the golf course, the Evnroll Zero Z5s impressed with its consistent roll and stability, comparable to some of the most forgiving putters available. The milled construction provided a soft feel at impact, although the sound was slightly louder and more high-pitched than expected. Despite this, the combination of feel and sound may take some time to adjust to for players used to a quieter impact sound.

The Evnroll Zero Z5s is a suitable choice for players looking for a traditional-feeling putter with the added stability of a zero-torque design. While the alignment features may not be as pronounced as some other leading zero-torque putters, the larger head of the Zero Z5s can instill confidence at address. Overall, the Zero Z5s offers a unique blend of technology, feel, and performance that may appeal to players seeking a reliable and stable putter for their game.

In conclusion, the Evnroll Zero Z5s putter stands out as a compelling option in the growing market of zero-torque putters. With its innovative design, premium materials, and consistent performance on the green, the Zero Z5s offers a unique putting experience for players of all skill levels. While the price may deter some players, those willing to invest in quality equipment may find the Zero Z5s to be a valuable addition to their bag. Ultimately, trying out the Zero Z5s on the course is the best way to determine if it aligns with your putting style and preferences, and if it can help you improve your performance on the green.
