Review of the Mitsubishi Kai’li Red Shaft

The Mitsubishi Kai’li Red shaft offers explosive feel without a soft tip, providing higher launch and spin compared to other Kai’li shafts. With a family focused on powerful, explosive feel, the Kai’li Red completes the trilogy that includes the Kai’li White and Kai’li Blue shafts.

The Kai’li Red features vibrant ocean-inspired graphics in red, giving it a fiery feel. The shaft is predominantly black with the Kai’li branding incorporated into the graphics. Near the ball, the only graphic is the small “MR-70” icon, maintaining a clean and sleek appearance.

The Kai’li Red offers a powerful feel, with characteristics associated with a Red profile such as being easy to activate and explosive. The tip of the shaft feels stable, with limited torque or twist, making it suitable for players who prefer a more stable feel during their swing.

Performance-wise, the Mitsubishi Kai’li Red delivers outstanding ball speed, translating the powerful feeling of the shaft into high swing speeds. Despite concerns about shot patterns, the shaft produces a consistent and controlled pull with minimal curve, showcasing its ability to blend an active profile with lower torque.

The Kai’li Red is available in four weight classes ranging from 50 to 80 grams, with flex options including R2, regular, stiff, X, and TX. Players who prefer a smoother swing or do not experience pulls or hooks will benefit from the higher launch and spin provided by the Kai’li Red shaft.

In conclusion, the Mitsubishi Kai’li Red is a standout option for players who enjoy the Red profile but have been hesitant due to concerns about the tip section. The shaft offers explosive feel, higher launch, and a strong, lower torque tip section, making it a suitable choice for enhancing speed and performance on the course.
