Title: Mizuno Pro X Golf Ball Review: A Worthy Competitor to the Titleist Pro V1

Titleist has long been the leader in the premium golf ball market, but Mizuno is now emerging as a serious rival with the release of the Pro range. The Pro balls feature a new construction with a thinner urethane cover and thicker mantle layer, resulting in enhanced ball speed and a soft feel. The Mizuno Pro X, in particular, stands out with its blue play number and arrow sidestamp, reminiscent of the impressive Mizuno Pro irons.

To test Mizuno’s claims, the Pro X ball was taken to a launch monitor for drivers, 7-irons, and 50-yard pitch shots before being used on the course. The results were impressive, with the Pro X producing comparable driver ball speed to other premium balls but flying further due to its higher launch and low spin. The Pro X also outperformed other balls with its mid-to-high spin and descent angle, resulting in longer iron shots and more spin on wedge shots.

In addition to its performance, the Mizuno Pro X also impressed with its feel, providing a firm yet responsive sensation on putts and shorter wedge shots. Despite its affordable price of £40 or $47.99 per dozen, the Pro X showed no trade-off in performance or durability, holding up well after multiple rounds on wet courses. This makes it a compelling alternative to more expensive premium balls on the market.

Overall, the Mizuno Pro X golf ball is a standout product that offers performance that rivals, and in some cases, surpasses, the market leaders. Its combination of distance, spin, and feel make it a solid choice for golfers looking for a high-quality ball at a more affordable price. With its impressive performance and durability, the Mizuno Pro X may just be one of the most underrated products in the golf ball market today. It has certainly earned a spot in the bags of many golfers who appreciate its performance on the course.
