Review of the New Level 480-TC Irons

New Level, a direct-to-consumer brand, is making waves in the golf industry with their beautifully crafted forged irons that compete with larger manufacturers at a fraction of the cost. Their new 480-TC irons offer a traditional clean look with a thin top line and minimal offset, making them perfect for golfers who want the look of a blade with a little extra help.

The New Level 480-TC irons feature a compact head with a rounded toe and linear leading edge that almost looks like a blade at setup. Each iron stands out in the bag with a removable weight screw in the middle of its cavity, adding a unique feature not seen on many other irons. The branding is minimal with the “NL” logo and “480-TC” etched in the back of each iron, giving them a sleek and sophisticated look.

When it comes to sound and feel, the New Level 480-TC irons deliver a soft feel with a low “snap” at impact for shots near the sweet spot. Strikes that are well away from center produce a different “clack” sound, giving golfers immediate feedback on mishits. They sit between a blade and a forgiving cavity back iron, making them ideal for players who want more feedback without the bouncy feel of a game improvement iron.

In terms of performance, the New Level 480-TC irons are traditionally lofted and offer forgiveness with the look and feel of a blade. The forging process used by New Level produces some of the softest feeling irons available, creating consistency in both feel and performance. The weight port allows for swing weight adjustments and brings more mass behind the point of impact, resulting in a consistent dispersion pattern and plenty of control.

These irons are designed for mid to low handicap players who want a compact players iron that offers consistent control and forgiveness. Priced at $149 per club, the New Level 480-TC irons offer exceptional value compared to similar irons in this category. With a wide array of no up-charge shaft options, golfers can customize their irons for optimal performance on the course. Whether you’re a seasoned player or looking to improve your game, the New Level 480-TC irons are worth considering for your bag in 2024.
