The TaylorMade Hi-Toe 4 wedge is the latest addition to the popular Hi-Toe line, which features full-face grooves for enhanced performance and versatility. This wedge has been designed to improve on its predecessor, the Hi-Toe 3, by offering a refined aesthetic and innovative technology. The wedge features a copper finish and a raw face to reduce glare on sunny days, while the bottom groove filled with golf paint aids alignment. The Hi-Toe 4 is available in lofts ranging from 50° to 60°, with full-face grooves starting at 54°.

The main highlight of the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 4 wedge is its versatility, thanks to the Spin Tread technology on the face that provides high levels of spin and control from both fairway lies and rough. The laser etching on the face helps repel water, creating more friction with the grooves and the ball for increased spin. Additionally, the wedge is offered in multiple grind options to cater to golfers playing in different conditions. The ATC grind with 8° of bounce is ideal for those with a shallow attack angle playing on firm ground.

In the US, the Hi-Toe 4 wedges come in five different grind options to suit various playing styles and conditions. The ATV grind, with more bounce and forgiveness, is perfect for players on Bermuda grass who need help with tricky chip shots. In Europe, the wedges are available in three grind options to accommodate different attack angles. Choosing the right bounce and grind is crucial for optimizing wedge performance, and golfers are encouraged to consult with a PGA Professional or club fitter for personalized advice.

The TaylorMade Hi-Toe 4 wedge offers exceptional performance on the golf course, delivering optimal spin and control on approach shots and around the greens. The ATC grind proved to be effective for the reviewer’s playing style, particularly on firmer ground conditions. Priced at $179/£149, the Hi-Toe 4 wedges are a worthwhile investment for golfers looking to improve their short game performance. By selecting the appropriate lofts and grind options, players can expect to see better results on a variety of shots.

Overall, the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 4 wedge is a standout option in the wedge market, offering a combination of aesthetics, technology, and performance. The full-face grooves, Spin Tread technology, and multiple grind options make these wedges suitable for golfers of all skill levels and playing preferences. Whether you prefer a refined look, increased spin control, or forgiveness around the greens, the Hi-Toe 4 wedges deliver on all fronts. With proper customization and fitting, these wedges have the potential to elevate your short game and improve your scoring on the course.
