Review of the Tour Edge Exotics X725 Iron

The Tour Edge X725 irons are the latest offering in the super game improvement category of golf clubs. With a focus on creating the easiest-to-use clubs possible, Tour Edge has packed the X725 with design features to help golfers of all skill levels improve their game. The tech story behind the X725 is centered around its ‘ironwood’ design, offering slice-fighting levels of offset and an extremely shallow face to assist with getting the ball up in the air. The CG location has been placed lower and deeper than ever before to boost stability, and the variable thickness 3D Diamond face offers added insurance on mishits.

The X725 may have an unusual appearance, with a very shallow face reminiscent of the TaylorMade Stealth HD irons, but its design is focused on function. The TPU badge in the cavity adds to the premium finish of the clubs, giving them shelf appeal. The performance of the X725 is where it truly shines, providing easy launch and wide soles that make them almost ‘duffproof’. Ball speed is strong and the anti-slice offset helps prevent right misses for right-handed players.

While the shallow face may result in some clunky feeling strikes off the top edge, the performance of the X725 is not greatly affected. The lively feel of the clubs is reminiscent of hitting hybrids rather than irons, providing a sensation of speed that is pleasant for many golfers. These irons are particularly well-suited for players who struggle with fat shots, right misses, and a low trajectory with their current irons.

The Tour Edge X725 irons are priced starting at $779.99 for a 5-PW set, with various shaft and custom options available for players to choose from. Overall, the X725 is a strong contender in the super game improvement iron category, offering easy launch, anti-slice offset, and a premium finish that will appeal to golfers looking to improve their game. With its focus on function and performance, the X725 has the potential to become one of the best golf irons of 2025. If you are in need of clubs that can help you improve your game and overcome common struggles with irons, the Tour Edge X725 irons are definitely worth considering.
