Rickie Fowler Makes Golf Ball Switch After TaylorMade Partnership Expires

January is a busy time in the golf equipment sector as players often make moves to new manufacturers. Max Homa recently switched to Cobra clubs, Puma shoes, and Lululemon apparel. Now, it has been reported that Rickie Fowler will no longer be using TaylorMade golf balls or gloves. Fowler has signed a deal with Ernst & Young after previously working with Grant Thornton.

Fowler signed a multi-year deal with TaylorMade in 2019 to play their golf ball and wear their glove. The deal expired at the end of 2024, leading to Fowler’s decision to switch to a 2023 Titleist Pro V1 golf ball and Cobra golf glove for the time being. This move signifies the end of Fowler’s partnership with TaylorMade, where he had a significant influence on the PIX design on its TP5 and TP5x golf balls. The PIX design featured a ClearPath Alignment aid to assist with aiming on the greens with orange and black triangle-shaped graphics.

In addition to changing his golf ball and glove, Fowler has also made changes to his putter. At last year’s Open Championship, he used his trusty Odyssey Jailbird putter, but at the Sanderson Farms Championship, he switched to a L.A.B. Golf DF3 mallet putter. These equipment changes come as Fowler looks to improve his form in the 2025 season. In 2024, he only managed one top 10 finish at the ZOZO Championship and will be hoping the new equipment will help him achieve better results.

Fowler will kick off his 2025 season at The American Express tournament, where he will debut his new equipment as an equipment free agent.
