The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its preseason polls for the 2024-25 season, with Stanford topping the Div. I rankings, followed by USC and UCLA. South Carolina and Texas round out the top five. Following college realignment, the SEC dominates with 10 teams in the top 25, while the ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12 also have a presence.

In Division II, Dallas Baptist starts the season in the No. 1 spot, with Flagler College, Findlay, West Texas A&M, and Anderson rounding out the top five. In Division III, Carnegie Mellon is the preseason favorite, followed by Emory, Pomona-Pitzer, George Fox, and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. In NAIA, Keiser is the unanimous No. 1 ranked team, with Oklahoma City and SCAD Savannah in second and third.

The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll will be released on October 4th. The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, represents over 750 coaches across the U.S. and is dedicated to promoting and recognizing its members and the student-athletes they represent. The organization encourages the playing of college golf for women and is committed to education and the highest standards of intercollegiate competition.

The polls offer a glimpse into the top teams to watch in women’s collegiate golf for the upcoming season. Stanford, USC, and UCLA are expected to be contenders in Div. I, while Dallas Baptist leads the pack in Division II. Carnegie Mellon, Emory, and Pomona-Pitzer are teams to watch in Division III, while Keiser is the team to beat in NAIA.

The rankings are determined by votes from coaches in each division, with the top teams garnering the most points based on the number of first-place votes they receive. The polls serve as a guide for fans and teams alike to track the progression of the season and see how their favorite teams stack up against the competition.

Overall, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association preseason polls offer a comprehensive look at the top teams in women’s collegiate golf across Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA. With powerhouse programs like Stanford and Keiser leading the way, the upcoming season promises to be exciting and competitive as teams vie for national championships and recognition on the national stage. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses and the competition heats up.
