GOLFZON Tour recently featured a match between Team Canada and Team Orlando at the Old Course at St. Andrews. This competition began as a 12-team simulator-golf match-play event with a $150,000 grand prize. However, it has now been narrowed down to a seven-team battle for the top spot. The format includes single-elimination bracket play, where female competitors play 85 percent of the yardage of their male counterparts. Teams of three compete head-to-head in a match-play format, with two of the best three player scores counting on each hole. In case of a tie, the match goes into sudden death, where all three players’ scores count.

Team Orlando emerged victorious in the first match of the quarterfinals against Team Canada. The competition was intense, with both teams going back and forth throughout the match. Team Orlando managed to secure a slight lead towards the end of the match, ultimately winning in sudden death with a birdie and two tap-in pars. With this victory, Team Orlando advances to the semi-final round and remains in contention for the $150,000 grand prize. The remaining teams in the competition include Detroit, New York City, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.

The 12 teams competing in GOLFZON Tour come from various locations, with representation from cities like Toronto, London, Orlando, Chicago, and Houston. The matches can be watched in their entirety on GOLFZON’s YouTube page, with new episodes and match recaps being released weekly. The competition is currently in the single-elimination quarterfinal rounds, leading up to the finale in January. Viewers can follow along each week to see which team will ultimately emerge as the winner of this exciting simulator-golf league.

GOLFZON Tour provides everyday players with the opportunity to compete for a significant prize pool while showcasing their skills in a unique and innovative format. The league has garnered significant interest and participation, with players and teams from various regions coming together to battle it out on virtual golf courses. The matches are played in real-time from regional simulator locations, adding a layer of realism and excitement to the competition. The international matchups, such as the one between Team Canada and Team Orlando, demonstrate the global appeal of the sport and the competitive spirit of the players involved.

As the tournament progresses, teams will continue to face off in intense and unpredictable matches, where every stroke and decision can make a significant impact on the outcome. The stakes are high, with a substantial grand prize awaiting the winning team at the conclusion of the competition. With the semi-final rounds underway and the finale drawing closer, fans and participants alike can look forward to witnessing thrilling moments and impressive performances from some of the best simulator-golf players in the world.
