The 2024 Presidents Cup team has been finalized with the top six U.S. PGA Tour members automatically qualifying and U.S. Captain Jim Furyk selecting the remaining six players. The team will compete against the rest of the world at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal later this year.

Keegan Bradley, who returns to the Presidents Cup after 11 years, earned his spot by winning the BMW Championship and advancing to the Tour Championship. Captain Furyk praised Bradley’s competitive nature and expects him to bring his fire to the team.

Sam Burns, making his third consecutive appearance in team competition, is known for his match-play skills and unwavering determination on the course. Despite not winning this season, Furyk sees Burns as a valuable asset to the team.

Patrick Cantlay, a consistent performer in team competitions, will play in his third straight Presidents Cup. Paired with Xander Schauffele, Cantlay has been a key player for Team USA in previous events and is expected to continue his strong performance.

Tony Finau, known for his ball-striking abilities, will make his third Presidents Cup appearance. With a strong finish in the Strokes Gained category, Finau has proven to be a valuable asset in team competition and brings a fun, outgoing demeanor to the team.

Max Homa, who excelled at the 2022 Presidents Cup, will represent the U.S. team once again. Despite a lack of recent top-10 finishes, Homa’s performance in previous team events and on big stages like the Masters make him a valuable addition to the team.

Collin Morikawa, known for his consistency and strong play in major championships, finished third in the points standings. With a strong record in the previous Presidents Cup, Morikawa is expected to continue his success in Montreal.

Xander Schauffele, a two-time major winner, will represent the U.S. team for the third time. Schauffele’s performance at past team events and his ability to win on the biggest stages make him a force to be reckoned with in international competition.

Scottie Scheffler, topping the U.S. point standings, had a rough debut at the 2022 Presidents Cup but is expected to redeem himself this year. With a strong season and world No. 1 ranking, Scheffler is a player to watch in the upcoming event.

First-time Presidents Cup participants include Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, and Sahith Theegala. These players have all had strong seasons and will bring their skills and determination to the international competition in Montreal.

Overall, the 2024 Presidents Cup team is a mix of experienced veterans and talented newcomers who are prepared to defend America’s dominance in the biennial competition. Led by Captain Jim Furyk, the team is ready to showcase their skills and teamwork at Royal Montreal Golf Club later this year.
