The LPGA 2025 schedule boasts record-breaking prize money

The LPGA announced its 2025 tour schedule with a historic prize fund of $131 million, the largest in the organization’s 75-year history. Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan expressed excitement for the growth and improvements in the schedule, including two new events, increased purse sizes, and enhanced benefits for athletes. The season will feature 35 events in 11 countries and 14 states, with notable changes such as a later start time for the season opener, two multi-event Asian swings, and a European swing. Additionally, 24 events will offer travel stipends, free accommodations, and guaranteed minimum payouts to competitors.

New events on the schedule for 2025 include the Black Desert Championship in Utah and the LPGA’s return to Mexico, as well as the revival of the International Crown team event in Korea. The Black Desert Championship will provide private charters to players, a unique perk among domestic events. The CME Championship will feature a $4 million winner’s check, the largest in women’s golf history. Broadcast coverage of LPGA tournaments will continue on Golf Channel, with select events airing on NBC, CBS, and ESPN+.

The 2025 LPGA Tour tournament schedule includes a diverse range of events with varying purse sizes, such as the $12 million U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally and the $2 million Honda LPGA Thailand. The season will conclude with the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida, where players will compete for an $11 million purse. The schedule also features events in France, Scotland, Wales, and other international locations, showcasing the global reach of women’s golf.
