Italy’s Roberta Liti had a strong start at the LPGA Q-Series second stage after a tough season. She took the lead with a 6-under 66 at Plantation Golf and Country Club’s Bobcat Course. Liti missed seven cuts during her first full season on the LPGA tour. The top 35 players and ties after four rounds will advance to December’s Final Qualifying stage, with all participants earning Epson Tour stats for 2025. A total of 195 players are competing in this week’s event in Venice, Florida, across two courses.

Ireland’s Sara Byrne, who set a new program single-season scoring average at Miami, shot a 67 on the Bobcat Course. Byrne had an impressive record at the recent Curtis Cup, helping lead Great Britain & Ireland to victory. UCLA senior Zoe Campos, playing as an amateur, opened with a 68. Players must turn professional before the Final Qualifying round in December. Former USC standout Amari Avery started strong with a 69 on the Bobcat Course, while Bobbi Stricker, daughter of PGA Tour player Steve Stricker, struggled with a 77.

Transgender golfer Hailey Davidson, who played men’s college golf at lower division levels, carded a 78 on the Panther Course. Davidson successfully advanced through the LPGA’s pre-qualifier with a share of 42nd place. It is a diverse field of players with varying backgrounds competing at the Q-Series, showcasing the depth and talent in women’s golf. The competition is fierce, with players vying for a spot in the Final Qualifying stage and a chance to earn impressive tour stats for the upcoming season.

The Q-Series is a crucial opportunity for players to prove themselves and earn a spot on the LPGA tour for the following year. With intense competition and high stakes, every stroke matters in determining the top finishers who will advance to the next stage. Players like Liti, Byrne, and Campos are showing their skills and determination early on in the tournament, setting themselves up for success. The event provides a platform for both established players and up-and-coming talents to showcase their abilities and potentially secure a spot on the tour.

As the tournament progresses, the leaderboard is likely to see shifts and intense battles for the coveted spots in the Final Qualifying round. The pressure is on for players to maintain their performance and consistency over the remaining rounds to secure their advancement. The Q-Series is a test of skill, mental toughness, and resilience for players looking to make their mark on the professional circuit. With a mix of experience and potential, the field is set for an exciting conclusion to determine the next wave of talent in women’s golf.
