The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is a prestigious event that marks the end of European Tour action in 2024 and serves as the final leg of the DP World Tour’s Opening Swing. This tournament will see two champions crowned, with the winner of the Mauritius Open taking home a significant cash prize along with the Opening Swing points leader earning a substantial bonus. A field of approximately 150 players will compete for a total prize purse of 1.5 million euros, with the triumphant golfer collecting 255,000 euros while the leader of the Race To Dubai points through the first five tournaments will receive $200,000.

In addition to the cash prize, the Opening Swing winner will also receive an invitation to the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January, as well as entry into the Back Nine phase of the season starting with the Betfred British Masters next August. The winner will also earn 3,000 Race to Dubai points. The prize money payout for the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open is listed in detail, with the top finisher receiving 255,000 euros and payouts decreasing incrementally through the top 70 finishers.

Some of the star names to watch out for in the Mauritius Open include Antoine Rozner, who is the clear betting favorite and won the tournament at Mont Choisy Golf Club in 2022. Other notable players in the field include former LIV golfer Kieran Vincent, former Ryder Cup star Nicolas Colsaerts, Marcus Kinhult from Sweden, and giant South African Christo Lamprecht. Defending champion Louis Oosthuizen will not be competing in this year’s event, but there is still a strong field of talented players vying for the title.

The tournament will be played at Mont Choisy Le Golf for the second time in 2024, following its successful debut at the venue in 2022. With a purse of $1.5 million up for grabs, the winner of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open will take home $255,000 in prize money. This event also marks the conclusion of the DP World Tour’s Opening Swing, with the Order of Merit leader receiving an additional $200,000 bonus.

Overall, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open offers an exciting conclusion to the European Tour season for both players and fans. With a competitive field of talented golfers competing for a significant prize purse, this tournament promises to deliver thrilling action and high stakes drama on the course. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to witness top golfers from around the world battle it out for the title and their share of the prize money at Mont Choisy Le Golf.
