2024 BMW Championship Odds: Our PGA Pro is Betting on the Hometown Advantage

The Monday Odds Drop is a valuable tool for golf bettors looking to find the best value in the field. While favorites are often the go-to choice for many, it is important to look at the odds and course fit to find the best opportunities for a win. Hideki Matsuyama was a prime example of excellent value last week with odds of 28-1 and a strong history at TPC Southwind. This is a reminder to consider all factors when placing a bet on a tournament.

The FedEx Cup playoffs are taking place at Castle Pines Golf Club, a renewed venue on the PGA Tour. With only two players in the field having previous experience at this course, predictions are based on skill set and design fit. Collin Morikawa, with odds of 14-1, has been performing consistently well in recent tournaments and is expected to continue that success at Castle Pines. His track record since the Masters has been impressive, making him a strong contender for the BMW Championship.

Wyndham Clark, with odds of 40-1, has shown significant improvement in his recent performance, finishing seventh at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. With his familiarity with high elevation due to being from Denver, Clark has an advantage at Castle Pines, which sits 6,000 feet above sea level. Despite Morikawa having better odds, Clark’s recent form and hometown appeal make him a viable option for bettors looking for value in their wagers.

Clark’s odds have also improved significantly from earlier in the summer, indicating that bookmakers have confidence in his abilities. On the other hand, Morikawa has not contended since June and struggled in his last tournament with his approach shots. Considering the unique challenges of Castle Pines, Clark’s strengths in power and familiarity with elevation make him a strong pick for the upcoming tournament.
