Wilson has recently introduced a new hybrid-alternative club called the Staff Model RB utility, catering to better players looking for a versatile option between fairway woods and long irons. This club comes in three loft offerings of 18, 21, and 24 degrees. Crafted with input from Wilson Advisory Staff members such as Padraig Harrington, the RB features a thin topline and sleek design preferred by better players. Engineers strategically distributed weight to the toe and sole of the club to create a “mid-to-low” CG club with improved forgiveness and resistance to twisting.

The RB club is made with high-strength C300 maraging steel-face and is hollow-bodied for increased ball speed and aerodynamics. Rib structures have been strategically placed within the head for better stability and performance on mishits. Wilson has also focused on improving the acoustics of the hollow-bodied design, enhancing the overall feel and sound at impact. Global General Manager of Golf and Vice President of Research & Development at Wilson, Bob Thurman, mentioned that professional athletes and elite amateurs who tested the RB club praised its soft feel at impact and optimized ball flight, making it an ideal choice for golfers seeking an easy-to-hit distance club.

The Wilson Staff Model RB utility is priced at $249.99 and is available in three loft options of 18, 21, and 24 degrees. The club is set to be released on July 9 and comes equipped with a Project X HZRDUS GEN 4 Black stock shaft and a Golf Pride Z Grip stock grip. Wilson has taken into consideration the feedback from professional athletes and elite amateurs to create a club that combines a sleek design with high performance and forgiveness on mishits. The RB club promises to provide golfers with an easy-to-hit distance club that delivers a soft feel at impact and an optimized ball flight.

In conclusion, the Wilson Staff Model RB utility club is designed to meet the needs of better players looking for a versatile option between fairway woods and long irons. The club features a sleek design and strategically distributed weight for enhanced forgiveness and resistance to twisting. With a high-strength C300 maraging steel-face and hollow-bodied construction, the RB club offers increased ball speed and aerodynamics.
