The 2024 United States Curtis Cup team has been officially announced following the conclusion of the 124th U.S. Women’s Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Curtis Cup is an eight-woman amateur competition between the U.S. and Great Britain and Ireland, with the Americans currently leading the overall series 31-8-3. The U.S. team is one of the youngest ever, with only one player having previous Curtis Cup experience.

One of the standout players on the team is Zoe Campos, ranked No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The UCLA rising senior was a Golfweek first-team All-American last season and led the Bruins with four individual wins and a 70.7 scoring average. Another notable inclusion is Anna Davis, the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion, making her first appearance on the Curtis Cup team after having success in recent U.S. Women’s Amateur tournaments.

Melanie Green, a recent graduate from South Florida, earned her spot on the team by winning the British Women’s Amateur and making it to the Round of 32 in the U.S. Women’s Amateur. Jasmine Koo, an incoming freshman at USC, has also shown promise with a fourth-place finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and a strong showing at the Girls’ Junior Invitational. Rachel Kuehn, the team veteran, brings experience as the only player with previous Curtis Cup experience and has represented the U.S. in various team competitions.

Also making the team is Catherine Park, ranked sixth in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and a rising junior at USC. Park tied for low amateur honors at the U.S. Women’s Open and won the Pac-12 Conference individual title earlier in the spring. Megan Schofill, the 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur champion, made the Round of 64 in her title defense at Southern Hills and was also on the World Amateur Team last fall. Lastly, Asterisk Talley, the youngest player on the team at 15, secured her spot with impressive wins at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball and Junior Invitational.

In addition to the eight members of the team, Kiara Romero of San Jose, California, and Farah O’Keefe of Austin, Texas, were named as alternates for the 2024 United States Curtis Cup team. Overall, the team is filled with talent, youth, and promising players who are eager to defend the U.S.’s winning streak in the Curtis Cup. The competition at Sunningdale from Aug. 30-Sept. 1 is expected to be exciting, with the American team looking to continue their dominance in the series.
