In October 1999, the golf world lost a legend when Payne Stewart tragically perished in a plane crash. Despite the passage of 25 years, his legacy continues to be celebrated and preserved by his family. Led by his wife, Tracey, and children Chelsea and Aaron, the Stewart family has established the Payne Stewart Family Foundation, an annual honor in the form of the Payne Stewart Award, children’s camps, various golf ventures, and the Payne Stewart Collection of apparel, which pays tribute to his iconic fashion sense.

Payne Stewart was known not only for his superb golf skills but also for his unique style, flair, and zest for life. His impact on the sport and on fans was significant, with many vividly remembering him to this day. To further preserve his memory, the Stewart family has created a “Fist Pump Memory Book” on the Collection website, where fans can share their personal memories of Stewart. Fans are encouraged to post photos, videos, and stories on social media platforms using the tag @PayneStewartCollection. In celebration of Stewart’s legacy, the Collection will be awarding $200 gift certificates to 25 recipients who share their memories.

Throughout the month of October, the Payne Stewart Collection is offering a 25% discount on all web purchases, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Payne Stewart Family Foundation. The Foundation supports organizations that provide educational opportunities, sports programs, and other activities for underserved children. It is a way for the Stewart family to give back and continue Payne’s legacy of generosity and passion for supporting youth development.

As we remember Payne Stewart’s life and legacy, it is important to also honor the memory of the other individuals who tragically lost their lives in the plane crash on October 25, 1999: Robert Fraley, Van Ardan, Bruce Borland, and pilots Michael Kling and Stephanie Bellegarrigue. Their lives were also cut short, and their names should not be forgotten in the tributes and remembrances of that fateful day. The Stewart family continues to honor all those who were lost by preserving Payne’s memory and supporting charitable causes that reflect his values and spirit.

To learn more about the “Fist Pump Memory Book” and to share your own memories of Payne Stewart, visit the paynestewartcollection.com website. The Collection is dedicated to keeping Payne’s memory alive and sharing his impact on the world of golf with fans and followers. By sharing stories and experiences, fans can keep Payne’s legacy alive and inspire future generations to learn more about this legendary golfer. Paying tribute to Payne Stewart is a way to honor not only his life but also the lives of those who were lost with him on that tragic day.
