Bridgestone Golf has recently introduced a new line of premium forged irons and wedges that are sure to catch the attention of golf enthusiasts. The 220 MB, 221 CB, and 222 CB+ irons offer players a range of options to suit their playing style and preferences. The 220 MB features a traditional muscle back design with Tour Groove Design for consistent spin and shotmaking versatility. The 221 CB has a one-piece forged design with a small cavity back for increased MOI and stability. The 222 CB+ irons have a dual pocket cavity throughout the set for a lower CG, higher launch, and improved vibration dampening.

Each of these new iron models comes equipped with high-quality steel shafts from Nippon PRO Modus3, ensuring optimal performance on the course. Additionally, Bridgestone has also introduced new forged wedges, the BRM2, which feature a milled groove design inspired by the company’s tire technology. These wedges are available in two sole configurations, the M-Grind for versatility and the A-Grind for increased forgiveness. Both configurations come with Nippon PRO Modus3 Tour 120 steel shafts and are available in various loft options.

The collaboration between Bridgestone and Japan-based Endo Manufacturing for the development of these new irons and wedges speaks to the precision and quality that golfers can expect from these products. Endo Manufacturing is known for its attention to detail in forging, making these new offerings from Bridgestone potential contenders for the top forged irons of 2025. This new line represents a pivot for Bridgestone in how they want to be perceived in the market, with a focus on premium irons and wedges and a heavy emphasis on fitting and customization.

Bridgestone Golf president Dan Murphy emphasized the importance of fitting and customization for playing optimized equipment, encouraging players interested in the new forged irons and wedges to take the time to get fit properly. The 220 MB and 221 CB irons will be sold in 4-PW sets for $1,050, while the 222 CB+ will retail for $900 in a 5-PW set. The BRM2 wedges will be priced at $150 each, making them an affordable option for players looking to upgrade their wedge game. These new offerings from Bridgestone will be available later this month, giving golfers the opportunity to experience the performance and quality of these premium clubs firsthand.
