The GOLFZON Tour is a simulator-golf match-play competition with a $150,000 grand prize. The league features regional teams of five players each from 12 GOLFZON host facilities, with matches taking place over the Internet in a head-to-head match-play format. Team Orlando, Team Minneapolis, and Team New York are among the teams that have already competed in matches, with Team New York recently defeating Team London 3 and 2 on the El Camaleon course.

The format of the GOLFZON Tour includes single-elimination bracket play, with female competitors playing 85 percent of the yardage of their male counterparts. Teams of three link their simulators together over the Internet, with the two best player scores for each team counting on each hole. If there is a tie after 18 holes, the match goes into a sudden-death playoff where all three players’ scores count. The first team to score lower on a hole wins the match.

In the recent GOLFZON Tour Match 3 between Team New York and Team London, Team New York took an early lead by winning the first two holes. However, Team London fought back and took the lead for the first time by going 1 up through 8. Team New York battled back on the back nine, winning holes 10, 11, and 12 to regain control of the match. Despite Team London’s efforts to cut the deficit, Team New York emerged victorious with a 3 and 2 win, advancing to the quarterfinal round to face Team Detroit.

With the conclusion of Match 3, Team New York is now one of nine teams still in the running for the $150,000 grand prize. The competition in the GOLFZON Tour is fierce, with teams battling it out in virtual simulations of real golf courses. The league provides everyday players with the opportunity to compete for a substantial prize while showcasing their skills in a unique format.

GOLFZON Tour has transformed the traditional golf tournament model by utilizing simulator technology to bring players from different regions together in a virtual setting. The league offers a new and exciting way for golfers to compete and engage with the sport. With matches taking place over the Internet, players can participate from their own regional simulator locations, adding a level of convenience to the competition.

The success of the GOLFZON Tour highlights the growing popularity of simulator golf and the potential for virtual competitions to become a prominent feature in the golfing world. As technology continues to advance, the possibilities for virtual sports events are expanding, opening up new opportunities for players to compete and connect with others in the sport. The GOLFZON Tour is just one example of how virtual golf competitions are changing the landscape of the game and providing players with a unique and exciting way to showcase their skills.
