GOLF’s newly released Top 100 Courses in the U.S. and Top 100 Courses You Can Play rankings feature the best golf courses in every state as identified by a fleet of over 100 expert panelists. The rankings include various categories such as Top 100 courses in the world, Top 100 courses in the U.S., Top 100 Value Courses in the U.S., America’s Best Municipal Courses, and more. The rankings aim to provide golf enthusiasts with a comprehensive guide to the best courses to play across the country.

If you’re planning a golf trip in the future, GOLF’s Course Finder tool can assist you in creating the perfect itinerary based on your preferences. The tool allows you to toggle all of the lists, filter by price, and discover the best golf courses near you. The best golf courses in Maine for 2024/2025 include Cape Arundel in Kennebunkport, Portland CC in Falmouth, Prouts Neck in Scarborough, Belgrade Lakes in Belgrade Lakes, and Kebo Valley in Bar Harbor. Cape Arundel, known for its short length and challenging design, is a favorite among golfers and was frequented by the Bush family for their quick rounds. The ranking process for the Top 100 U.S. and Top 100 You Can Play lists involved providing panelists with a ballot of 609 courses grouped into 11 buckets based on their rankings. Panelists were tasked with evaluating each course and assigning points to determine their rankings. The ranking process is designed to be simple, straightforward, and inclusive to ensure that the results reflect the collective expertise and experience of the panelists.

GOLF’s panelists come from 15 nations and have played courses in various countries, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insights into the course ranking process. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences contribute to the credibility and accuracy of the rankings, ensuring that golf enthusiasts can trust the recommendations provided by GOLF’s expert panelists.
