PXG’s Secret Weapon Mini Driver is a new entry in the growing category of mini drivers that gained popularity on the pro circuit in 2024. Designed as a more forgiving fairway wood option for better players, the Secret Weapon features full-face grooves and a larger shape with increased perimeter weighting for higher moment of inertia. This results in increased ball speed and lower spin compared to traditional 3-woods, thanks to a lightweight composite crown insert made from high-grade carbon fiber. The club also features a leading edge built flush to the ground for improved turf interaction and confidence at address.

The adjustability of the Secret Weapon sets it apart from other mini drivers, with a loft sleeve that allows for adjustments from 11.5 to 13.5 degrees and a variety of lie angles. The club also includes four adjustable weight ports on the sole, allowing players to customize the CG location to meet their specific swing weight needs. The standard configuration includes two 15g weights and two 2.5g weights, providing ample options for tailoring the club to individual preferences.

In terms of performance, the Secret Weapon is designed to provide players with an option off the tee while maintaining solid performance off the deck. The club’s high-strength ultra-thin titanium face and robotic polishing ensure consistent ball speed and improved forgiveness across the face. With a stock playing length of 43.75 inches, the shaft of the Secret Weapon is only half an inch longer than standard 3-wood shafts, making it a versatile option for players looking to bridge the gap between a driver and a fairway wood.

Overall, PXG’s Secret Weapon Mini Driver combines forgiveness and adjustability in a sleek package that caters to better players seeking more consistency and versatility in their long game. With its advanced technology and innovative design features, this mini driver is poised to make a significant impact in the growing market for clubs that offer a blend of distance and accuracy off the tee. Golfers looking to optimize their performance with a versatile club that offers customization options should consider adding the Secret Weapon to their bag.
