Tiger Woods renews partnership with primary equipment sponsor

Tiger Woods has been using Bridgestone golf balls since 2000, and the company recently announced that they have re-signed him, along with four other players, to play their Tour B X golf ball. This marks Woods’ longest-running gear sponsor since his split with Nike in 2023. Woods first signed with Bridgestone in 2016 after Nike left the hard goods business, and he later confirmed that Bridgestone was the manufacturer of the Nike-branded golf balls he had been playing. In a press release, Woods expressed his excitement to continue working with Bridgestone’s R&D team to design industry-leading golf balls.

The Bridgestone Tour B X Tiger Woods 2024 Golf Balls are designed for maximum distance off the tee and performance on approach shots, making them ideal for players with swing speeds over 105 MPH who want additional distance. The TOUR B X features REACTIV X technology, which combines REACTIV iQ Smart Cover Technology with XCLRNT mid-layer for increased distance off the tee and improved feel and control around the green. This technology creates intensified rebound on tee shots for explosive velocity and increased distance, as well as staying on the face longer on approach shots to provide more spin and a soft feel around the green.

Upon signing with Bridgestone, Woods initially played the Tour B330 S golf ball before switching to the Tour B XS ball in 2019, which he won with at the Masters. However, Woods made another switch to the lower-spinning Tour B X after seeing an additional 10 yards of carry during testing at the Genesis Invitational and the 2022 edition of the Match. Woods stated that he is always seeking more distance off the tee and more control around the green, and Bridgestone has delivered on that with the new Tour B X ball. The ball features Tiger commemorative packaging, a Tiger side stamp, and the number 1 as a player number, the exact same ball played by Woods in competition.

Jack Hirsh, the Associate Equipment Editor at GOLF, shared insights on Tiger Woods’ partnership with Bridgestone and his preference for their Tour B X golf balls. A Pennsylvania native and graduate of Penn State University, Jack has a background in broadcast journalism and political science. He is a former captain of his high school golf team and currently serves as the head coach of the program. Jack remains competitive in local amateur competitions and brings his expertise to GOLF as an editor focusing on golf equipment. He can be reached for further information at jack.hirsh@golf.com.

Tiger Woods’ relationship with Bridgestone and his preference for their Tour B X golf balls highlight the importance of equipment choices in professional golf. Woods has been using Bridgestone golf balls since 2000 and has seen success with the Tour B X model, which offers increased ball speed for maximum distance off the tee and better performance on approach shots. The REACTIV X technology in the Tour B X provides improved distance, control, and feel for players with high swing speeds, making it a popular choice among professional golfers like Woods, Jason Day, Mat Kuchar, and Chris Gotterup.

Bridgestone continues to innovate and lead the golf ball category with technology advancements in their golf balls, such as the Tour B X Tiger Woods 2024 Golf Balls. These balls are designed in collaboration with Woods and other professional players to meet the demands of competitive golf. The Tour B X features commemorative packaging, a Tiger side stamp, and the number 1 player number, reflecting Woods’ influence on the design and performance of the ball. With Woods’ endorsement and success using the Tour B X, Bridgestone solidifies its position as a leader in golf ball technology and performance.

In conclusion, Tiger Woods’ re-signing with Bridgestone and his continued use of their Tour B X golf balls showcase the importance of equipment choices in professional golf. Woods’ long-standing partnership with Bridgestone reflects his trust in the brand’s technology, performance, and consistency in golf ball manufacturing. The Tour B X Tiger Woods 2024 Golf Balls offer increased distance, control, and feel for players with high swing speeds, making them a popular choice among professional golfers. With Woods’ endorsement and success using the Tour B X, Bridgestone affirms its position as a leading manufacturer of golf balls and a trusted partner for elite players in the sport.
