How much does it cost to play at the Players Championship course?

TPC Sawgrass, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is known for having one of the highest public greens fees in all of golf. The course has two options for players, Dye’s Valley and the Players Stadium Course, with rates starting at $325 for Dye’s Valley and $550 for the Stadium Course during the peak season of September to May. However, the rates can go up to $750 during that time and even further during peak seasons.

The rates at TPC Sawgrass include range balls, a cart, and a forecaddie. If you choose to walk instead of taking a cart, you’ll need a walking caddie, which has additional costs. Tips for both the forecaddie and walking caddie are recommended. Vacation packages are also available, starting from $1,022 to $2,244, which include accommodations at Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, meals, and discounted rounds at other TPC Sawgrass courses.

The Players Championship moved to TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course in 1982, a year after it opened. The Pete Dye-designed course is ranked 48th on GOLF’s Top 100 Courses in the U.S. and 8th on the list of the Top 100 Courses You Can Play. The iconic par-3, island-green hole on 17 at the Stadium Course remains one of the most famous holes in golf.

Dynamic pricing is used at TPC Sawgrass, meaning rates can fluctuate based on demand. It is recommended to book in advance, especially during peak seasons, to secure the best rates. Prices can jump to as high as $900 during certain time slots, so planning ahead is crucial for those looking to play at TPC Sawgrass.

Golf enthusiasts can experience playing at TPC Sawgrass by taking advantage of the various vacation packages offered, which provide a comprehensive experience that includes accommodations, meals, and rounds at other TPC Sawgrass courses. The course’s rich history and reputation as a top golf destination make it a popular choice among players looking to test their skills on a challenging course.

When considering the cost of playing at TPC Sawgrass, it’s important to factor in additional expenses such as caddie fees and tips for both forecaddies and walking caddies. The course’s stunning design, including the iconic 17th hole, make it a bucket-list destination for golfers who are willing to invest in a memorable golfing experience. Booking early and exploring all available options, including vacation packages, can help make playing at TPC Sawgrass more accessible for avid golfers.
