Bud Cauley’s Inspiring Comeback Featured in PGA Tour Documentary Series "Mindful"

Introduction

Bud Cauley, a notable figure in professional golf and a junior golf talent from Jacksonville, will be the first subject of the PGA Tour’s new documentary series titled "Mindful." Set to premiere on January 15 at 10 a.m., this series will explore the mental challenges faced by professional golfers and their individual coping strategies. Players and stories from the Tour will be showcased on the PGA Tour’s YouTube channel, website, and social media platforms.

About the "Mindful" Series

"Mindful" marks the latest production from PGA Tour Studios, renowned for its engaging narratives in golf. Previous acclaimed works include the Emmy-nominated series "Scottie 24," centered on four-time Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler, as well as "Xander Embedded," featuring major champion Xander Schauffele, and "Truth or Putt."

Cauley’s Journey

The documentary will chronicle Bud Cauley’s remarkable journey back to the PGA Tour following a devastating car accident in 2018 that resulted in severe injuries. Viewers will hear heartfelt reflections from Cauley, along with insights from friends and family, as he shares the mental resilience required for his comeback.

Over the course of nearly two seasons away from competitive play, Cauley returned with determination in 2025, finishing 47th on the FedEx Cup points list, including four top-10 finishes and a tie for sixth place at The Players Championship. As he gears up for the 2026 season, he currently holds the 70th position in the world rankings.

Upcoming 2026 PGA Tour Schedule: RSM Classic and More

The PGA Tour is excited to announce that the RSM Classic will return for its 17th year as part of the 2026 FedEx Cup Fall schedule. The series begins on September 17, 2026, with the inaugural Biltmore Championship at The Cliffs at Walnut Grove in Asheville, N.C. This event marks the first PGA Tour action in the Blue Ridge Mountains since the Asheville Open in 1942. The season finale at the RSM Classic will take place from November 19-22, 2026.

RSM Classic Highlights

Key Details of the 2026 FedEx Cup Fall Schedule:

  • Biltmore Championship: September 17-20, 2026, Asheville, N.C.
  • RSM Classic: November 19-22, 2026, Sea Island Resort, St. Simons Island, Ga.

Broadcasting Information

All eight Fall events will be aired on the Golf Channel and produced from PGA Tour Studios in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Scottie Scheffler Receives Top Honors
