A Guide to Watching the Troon Access GL Championship

The Troon Access GL Championship is set to kick off on December 5th, featuring 44 two-person teams competing in a 36-hole scramble under the lights at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, Arizona. The event will be attended by thousands of fans and will also be available for streaming on Peacock during the final round. The tournament is part of The Grass League, the world’s first high-stakes par-3 golf league, created by Grass Clippings founders. This innovative league features both amateur and professional players in team-based formats.

Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills, the host course for the event, has undergone a major renovation over the past 18 months, with a $15 million investment providing lighting for night play, a lighted practice range, top-of-the-line technology, and other amenities. The facility has been transformed into a premier golf destination, attracting top players from franchises in cities like San Diego, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Dallas. Notable players competing in the championship include Mardy Fish, George Gankas, and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark among others.

The tournament format will include a shotgun start for the opening round on Thursday, followed by progressive tee times for the final round on Friday. The final round will be streamed live on NBC’s Peacock starting at 8 p.m. ET. The broadcast crew will feature well-known golf personalities providing commentary and insights into the competition. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch the exciting action unfold in real-time and experience the thrill of high-stakes par-3 tournament golf.
