Fujikura released the original Ventus Blue back in 2019 to showcase its VeloCore technology, which added stability to the shaft and promoted more consistent center face contact. Despite the success of Ventus, companies like Fujikura are always looking to improve their products. Continued refinement has made Fujikura shafts popular on tour and in amateur bags. Now, five years later, the updated 2024 Ventus Blue wood shaft with VeloCore Plus technology has been released. This article will provide an in-depth review of the new shaft.

When it comes to driver shafts, many players prefer the mid-launch sector, and the Ventus Blue has been a popular choice for those players. The original Fujikura Ventus Blue was well-received for its performance, and the new 2024 version retains the same characteristics with some improvements. The new shaft features a lighter blue hue with a matte finish and a VeloCore+ logo near the tip to signify the new technology it incorporates. Velocore+ is designed for clubhead stabilization, consistent center-face contact, tighter dispersion, and increased control throughout the swing.

The author of the article took the new Ventus Blue to the course and the range for testing. They found that the shaft provided a similar smooth feeling with a slightly tighter and more stable sensation during the swing. While the bend profile of the 2024 Ventus Blue is the same as the 2019 model, it feels a touch stiffer, which can benefit players with quicker tempo swings. The new shaft launched one degree higher and produced slightly more ball speed compared to the older model, while maintaining similar spin characteristics.

Overall, the author concludes that the new 2024 Ventus Blue is a great evolution of an iconic shaft. Players can expect added stability, increased ball speed, and improved launch conditions while maintaining the familiar feel of the original shaft. The new Ventus Blue is likely to appeal to players who prefer a mid-launch shaft and are looking for enhanced performance on the course. Whether you are a tour pro or an amateur golfer, the Fujikura Ventus Blue with VeloCore Plus technology could be a game-changing addition to your bag.
