The TaylorMade Spider Tour X Black Proto putter is a steel-body mallet putter designed for golfers seeking improved distance control, forgiveness, and a putter with an anti-glare finish. Priced at $500, this putter comes equipped with a KBS CT Black PVD Stepless shaft and a SuperStroke Pistol GT 1.0 Black grip. It is available in lengths ranging from 33 to 35 inches. Retaining the shape of the popular Spider Tour X putters, the Black Proto features a milled face insert for a firmer feel at impact and a black PVD finish to minimize glare and deliver a distinct aesthetic.

Introduced by TaylorMade in August 2023, the Spider Tour family gained popularity among both tour professionals and recreational golfers. World’s top-ranked golfer, Scottie Scheffler, used a TaylorMade Spider Tour prototype with a milled face at several PGA Tour events. The Spider Tour X Black Proto is a new addition to the lineup, featuring an all-black design with 3 degrees of loft, a 70-degree lie angle, an L-Neck hosel, and a short slant neck hosel, similar to Scheffler’s prototype. The True Path Alignment system in the Black Proto putters is blacked out, providing a subtler design compared to previous models.

The Spider Tour X Black Proto putter shifts more weight to the front of the head, encouraging a putter face rotation resembling that of a blade-style putter. This forward center of gravity is ideal for golfers with an arced putting stroke. Additionally, the milled stainless-steel insert is heavier than the Hybrar Echo Damper material used in standard Spider Tour X putters, enhancing performance and feel. The black-on-black True Path alignment system provides a sleek and understated look at address, blending with the chassis for a seamless appearance.

When it comes to aesthetics, the Spider Tour X Black Proto stands out with its all-black design and sleek finish. The black PVD coating minimizes glare and offers a premium look on the course. The milled face insert provides a firmer feel and better control for improved putting performance. With its unique True Path alignment system and carefully engineered weight distribution, this putter is designed to help golfers of all levels improve their putting accuracy and consistency.

In conclusion, the TaylorMade Spider Tour X Black Proto putter is a top-of-the-line option for golfers looking to elevate their putting game. With its advanced technology, premium materials, and sleek design, this putter offers exceptional performance and aesthetics on the course. Whether you’re a professional golfer or a recreational player, the Spider Tour X Black Proto provides the forgiveness, distance control, and anti-glare finish you need to take your putting to the next level. Consider investing in this high-quality putter to enhance your overall golfing experience and improve your scores on the green.
