Breakdown of the 2025 TGL Payout: Purse Distribution and Winner’s Portion

The TGL finals between New York Golf Club and Atlanta Drive are set to take place at the SoFi Center, with a sizable winner’s check on the line. The first TGL season is coming to an end, with six teams starting the season and playing five matches each to determine the four teams that would make the playoffs. Unlike the PGA Tour, TGL events do not have separate purses and payouts, as teams will be paid once at the end of the playoffs based on their final standings.

Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club and Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common team finished the regular season in fifth and sixth place, respectively, and did not qualify for the playoffs. However, they still received payouts for their positions in the standings. Jupiter earned $1.75 million with $437,500 going to each player, while Boston Common finished last and earned $1.5 million. The winning team in the finals between New York and Atlanta will earn $9 million in total ($2.25 million per player), with the runner-up receiving $4.5 million.

The 2025 TGL payout breakdown is as follows: 1st place – $9,000,000 ($2,250,000 per player), 2nd place – $4,500,000 ($1,125,000 per player), 3rd place – $2,250,000 ($562,500 per player), 4th place – $2,000,000 ($500,000 per player), 5th place – $1,750,000 ($437,500 per player), and 6th place – $1,500,000 ($375,000 per player). The TGL finals are not just for fun, as there is serious money at stake for the teams and players involved.

The SoFi Center where the TGL finals are taking place is described as a tech-lover’s dream, offering a high-tech and modern environment for the players and spectators. The TGL season has been filled with intense competition, with PGA Tour stars like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Billy Horschel, and Justin Thomas showcasing their skills. The playoffs have narrowed down the field to the top two teams, setting the stage for an exciting finale.

The TGL format differs from traditional golf tournaments, with teams competing against each other in a team-based format rather than individual play. The unique structure of the TGL events has garnered attention and interest from golf fans and players alike. The financial incentives for the teams add an extra layer of competitiveness to the matches, as players strive to secure a spot at the top of the leaderboard and earn a significant payout.

As the TGL season comes to a close, fans are eagerly anticipating the outcome of the finals between New York Golf Club and Atlanta Drive. With a substantial prize pool on the line, the pressure is on for the teams to deliver their best performance and secure a victory. The TGL has proven to be a successful and exciting addition to the world of golf, providing a new and innovative platform for players to showcase their talents and compete at the highest level.
