Superstar Caitlin Clark is set to participate in the LPGA event The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican next month. In addition to playing in the Wednesday pro-am alongside tournament host Annika Sorenstam, Clark will also take part in a Women’s Leadership Summit panel the day prior. She will have the opportunity to play nine holes with World No. 1 Nelly Korda, who is currently sidelined with a minor neck injury.

Nelly Korda, who began the year with six victories in her first eight starts, is considered one of the top players on the LPGA tour. Many have compared her impact on the game to that of Caitlin Clark in the WNBA. Clark, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, had a historic first season in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever before the team was knocked out of the playoffs in late September. Her incredible skills on the court have drawn record crowds at both the collegiate and professional levels.

The announcement of Clark’s participation in The Annika event has generated significant buzz, as she continues to captivate audiences with her talent and charisma. Last summer, she caused a frenzy at the John Deere Classic Pro-Am when she played alongside Zach Johnson and Ludvig Aberg. Clark’s partnership with Gainbridge as an ambassador has only added to her growing reputation as a rising star in the sports world.

The upcoming event at Pelican will mark the fifth edition of The Annika, held from Nov. 14-17. The club recently reopened after being hit by 100 mph winds and extreme flooding from Hurricane Milton. Despite the challenges, the event is expected to draw a large crowd eager to see Clark in action alongside some of the best players in women’s golf.

Caitlin Clark’s involvement in The Annika event highlights her versatility as an athlete, with plans to pursue a professional golf career during the WNBA offseason. Her ability to excel in multiple sports has drawn comparisons to other legendary athletes, such as Annika Sorenstam and Billie Jean King, with whom she shares an ambassadorship with Gainbridge.

As Clark continues to make waves in the sports world, her presence at The Annika event is sure to create a memorable experience for fans and fellow players alike. With the opportunity to play alongside top competitors like Nelly Korda and Annika Sorenstam, Clark will showcase her skills on the golf course and further solidify her status as a rising star in both basketball and golf. Stay tuned for more updates on Caitlin Clark’s journey as she navigates the worlds of professional sports with grace and determination.
