Cameron Young, a prominent golfer in this week’s World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal in Los Cabos, Mexico, has withdrawn from the tournament. At 27 years old, Young is still seeking his first PGA Tour victory and was considered one of the top contenders with betting odds of 22/1. His most recent Tour appearance was at the BMW Championship in August, where he finished tied for 43rd place.

The reason for Young’s withdrawal has not been disclosed, and he has been substituted in the tournament field by 42-year-old Sean O’Hair. The competition is set to begin on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET, with the champion earning $1.296 million out of the $7.2 million prize fund and 500 FedEx Cup points.

Sean O’Hair, now taking Cameron Young’s place in the World Wide Technology Championship, will join other talented golfers from around the world in vying for the title. O’Hair has a successful golfing career and will look to make a mark at this tournament to secure a significant payday and valuable FedEx Cup points.
