The 21 club pros at the PGA Championship this year may not have seen the magic of Michael Block at Oak Hill, but Braden Shattuck and Jeremy Wells did themselves proud. Shattuck, the director of instruction at Rolling Green Golf Club in Pennsylvania, finished one under for the week and claimed low club-pro honors. After being honored at the ceremony along with the new winner of the Wanamaker Trophy, Shattuck planned to drive through the night to make it to another tee time at a Philly section event. This dedication truly showcases what it means to be a pro’s pro.

After his solid showing at Valhalla, Shattuck made the trek to Bellewood Country Club and broke the course record by two strokes, winning the Delaware Valley Open. His bogey-free eight-birdie round of 63 was a standout performance and put him in a position to repeat as Philadelphia PGA Player of the Year. Despite the challenges of being on the road for an extended period, Shattuck credits the support of those around him for his success.

Shattuck’s victory at Bellewood may not have drawn the same crowd size as the PGA Championship, but it still earned him a check and a win. This achievement is a testament to his skill and dedication to the game. His ability to perform well under pressure and continue to excel in tournament play shows just how much potential and talent he has as a professional golfer.

In the world of golf, consistency and determination are key factors in achieving success. Shattuck’s ability to bounce back from a less than stellar performance at the PGA Championship to break a course record and win the Delaware Valley Open is a clear example of this. By staying focused on his goals and pushing himself to excel, he has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the golfing world.

As Shattuck continues to compete in tournaments and showcase his skills on the course, he is sure to draw attention from fans and fellow competitors alike. His dedication to improving his game and his unwavering commitment to the sport make him a player to watch in the coming years. With each new victory and record-breaking performance, Shattuck is proving that he has what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of professional golf.
