The end of the year is an exciting time for golf fans as new beginnings are on the horizon. Recently, the DP World Tour, PGA Tour Champions, and LPGA Tour have all hosted their qualifying schools. Now, it’s the PGA Tour’s turn to showcase their talent at TPC Sawgrass for the 2024 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry. This highly anticipated event will determine which players will secure their playing rights for the 2025 season. With 171 players competing over four rounds, the stakes are high as the top five finishers and ties will earn PGA Tour cards.

The tournament is set to kick off on Thursday, December 12th and will run until Sunday, December 15th at the Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Country Club. Unlike regular PGA Tour tournaments, there will be no cut, allowing all competitors to play 72 holes. The players will compete in the same groupings for the first two rounds and then for the final two rounds to determine who will come out on top. The top five finishers and ties will secure their PGA Tour cards, while the next 40 finishers and ties will earn guaranteed starts for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season.

Some notable players to watch out for at the PGA Tour Q-School include former PGA Tour winners such as Garrick Higgo, Ryan Brehm, Austin Cook, and Lanto Griffin. Other talented players like Sam Bennett, Christo Lamprecht, and Sangmoon Bae will also be vying for their chance to earn their PGA Tour cards. With a competitive field and high stakes, this event promises to deliver intense competition and thrilling moments for golf enthusiasts.

The qualifying criteria for PGA Tour Q-School is diverse, with players earning their spots through various routes such as the FedExCup Fall Playoffs, the Korn Ferry Tour Official Points List, and the Official World Golf Ranking. Players must meet specific criteria to qualify for the Final Stages of Q-School, with exemptions given to certain categories of players. This ensures that the field is made up of talented individuals who have earned their place through their performance and achievements in the world of golf.

Golf fans can catch all the action of the PGA Tour Q-School on Golf Channel, which will broadcast eight hours of coverage over the weekend.
