Guide on How to Tune in to the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship Final Match

The 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship is reaching its climax this weekend at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. with four players vying for the prestigious title. The semi-final matches will feature Maria Jose Marin and Asterisk Talley, and Kendall Todd and Rianne Malixi, who will compete against each other to secure a spot in the 36-hole final match.

Maria Jose Marin, an 18-year-old golfer from Colombia and a rising sophomore at the University of Arkansas, is the No. 1 seed in match play after posting impressive scores in the stroke-play portion of the tournament. Her semi-final opponent, Asterisk Talley, is a 15-year-old high school student from California and already has a USGA championship title under her belt. Both players are new to the U.S. Women’s Amateur and will be looking to make a mark in the final stages of the tournament.

On the other side of the bracket, Kendall Todd, a 21-year-old senior at the University of Arkansas, is set to face off against 17-year-old Rianne Malixi from the Philippines. Malixi, who recently won the 2024 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, is aiming to become only the second player ever to win both the U.S. Girls’ Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur titles in the same year. With both Todd and Malixi bringing their own unique skills and experiences to the semi-final matches, the competition is sure to be intense.

The winners of the semi-final matches will advance to the 36-hole final match, with the first 18 holes scheduled to be played on Saturday afternoon and the remaining 18 holes on Sunday. Golf fans can catch all the action from the final match of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship on Golf Channel, which will be broadcasting the event live on both Saturday and Sunday from 3-6 p.m. ET. Additionally, viewers can stream the championship final on Peacock to ensure they don’t miss any of the exciting moments on the course.

As the tournament inches closer to crowning a champion, the stakes are high for all four remaining players as they battle it out for the coveted title of U.S. Women’s Amateur Champion. With a mix of seasoned players and newcomers, each bringing their own strengths and talents to the table, the final matches are sure to deliver thrilling competition that showcases the best of women’s amateur golf.
