Joakim Haeggman secured his second Legends Tour victory at the HSBC India Legends Championship hosted by Jeev Milkha Singh, finishing with a nine-under-par total at Jaypee Greens outside New Delhi. Haeggman started the final round with a one-shot lead over Singh but quickly extended his lead with three birdies in the first four holes. Despite a couple of late bogeys, Haeggman held on to win by two shots over Singh.

Andrew Marshall put on a strong performance, shooting a bogey-free 65 to finish in second place at -7. Marshall’s round included five birdies and an eagle at the 12th hole. Emanuele Canonica, Carl Suneson, Simon Griffiths, and Greig Hutcheon tied for fifth place at -3, while Mikael Lundberg, Clark Dennis, Adilson da Silva, and Jyoti Randhawa finished tied for ninth.

The tournament came down to a close battle between Haeggman and Singh, with Singh falling short after finding the water with his tee shot on the 18th hole. Haeggman, known as ‘Heggie,’ expressed the significance of the win, noting that it was a great feeling to secure another victory and a peak result after a solid season. The win also allowed him to relax as the season came to a close.

Haeggman’s victory marks a milestone in his career on the Legends Tour, adding to his impressive resume as a former Ryder Cup player.
